Women's Guild

tea pot and cupsEveryone is invited to these periodic gatherings throughout the church year. Meetings are generally held at noon on the first Friday of each month and include a catered lunch followed by a program.

Join us on Friday, September 10th for a special program when the Women's Guild kick's kick off its program year with a luncheon at noon and speaker afterwards.

The speaker will be Jane Lancaster, an historian, who will speak about The Home Front in World War II Rhode Island. Taken from a diary that a Rhode Island woman kept, what was going on for the war effort is shown through the everyday life of this woman.

People are invited to bring artifacts from World War II, such as ration books, newspapers, souvenirs, music, letters, uniforms, or photographs for a display. We will also display the log book from the Men's Social Service Center which was held in RTC during part of the war. Cost of the luncheon will be $10.00.
