The Rev. Dr. John Edwin ("Jed") Griswold is Beneficent's Minister of Education, coordinating the Sunday School ministries since 2001. He also serves as Professor and Department Chair for Social Sciences and Philosophy at Dean College in Massachusetts.

Ordained to the ministry in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 1979, Dr. Griswold holds degrees from West Virginia University, Duke University, a Master of Arts from Rhode Island College, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He previously served pastorates in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, and in Christian Education work in Massachusetts. A popular storyteller, "Jed" has also served for over two decades as a consultant to churches, schools, and other non-profits on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.
