March 15, 2020: While our in-person worship is suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic, please join us for Virtual Worship this Sunday!
What should I expect for Sunday Worship?

Where and when?
The Beneficent community gathers each Sunday morning at 10am to worship together in our historic Meeting House at 300 Weybosset Street (get directions). Parking is available for free in our adjacent lot on Sunday mornings, though space is limited so you may wish to come a few minutes early. Additionally, there is plenty of on-street parking available in front of the church on Weybosset and west on Chestnut (and street parking is free on Sundays!).
Usually, attendees arrive a few minutes before the service starts, especially if they wish to take their children to Sunday School or the nursery (learn more about kids programs).
What happens?
The worship service usually lasts about an hour. We sing a few hymns together with our choir, listen to a message by one of our Pastors or a Guest Preacher, and take some time to pray together about the joys and concerns of our community. Communion is shared on the first Sunday of each month, and all are invited to join.
Want to know more?
If you come for a visit and want to know more, ushers are always available to help you and answer any questions you might have. Can't wait til Sunday? Call or email one of the staff using information on the Contact Us page.
